What Is Empower RF?
Empower RF is an FDA-cleared, multi-functional women’s wellness platform by InMode. Rather than a single device, it brings together several technologies — bipolar radiofrequency (RF) energy, fractional RF microneedling, and electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) — delivered through different applicators.
This combination lets us treat both the function and the appearance of the intimate area in one personalized plan: radiofrequency gently heats deeper tissue to stimulate collagen and improve tone, while muscle stimulation strengthens the pelvic floor from within.
The Empower RF Platform
At your consultation we select the applicator — or combination of applicators — best suited to your anatomy and goals:
- VTone — a gentle intravaginal EMS applicator that strengthens the pelvic floor and helps with stress, urge, and mixed urinary incontinence. Many describe it as doing thousands of Kegels in a single session.
- FormaV — uses bipolar radiofrequency to gently warm vaginal tissue, stimulating collagen to improve elasticity, firmness, lubrication, and dryness, and to support mild urinary leakage.
- Morpheus8V — combines fractional RF microneedling with radiofrequency for deeper remodeling, targeting laxity, tightening, tone, and comfort during intimacy.
Each applicator can be used on its own or combined, so your treatment is tailored rather than one-size-fits-all.
Empower RF vs. Traditional Radiofrequency
Traditional radiofrequency is used mainly for skin tightening and a smoother appearance. It addresses how tissue looks, but not functional concerns such as a weak pelvic floor, bladder leaks, or discomfort during intimacy.
Empower RF is different because it pairs radiofrequency with electrical muscle stimulation. That means it can work on both the aesthetic side (laxity, dryness, tone) and the functional side (pelvic-floor strength and urinary control) — all without surgery, incisions, or general anesthesia.

What to Expect
Treatment is performed in our West Miami office and usually takes about 20–40 minutes, depending on the applicator. During radiofrequency you may feel gentle warmth; with muscle stimulation you’ll feel rhythmic contractions. Most patients find it comfortable and well tolerated, and a topical numbing cream can be used when needed.
Empower RF is typically done as a short series of sessions — the exact number is personalized to you at your consultation. There is little to no downtime: most women return to their normal routine the same day, and any mild warmth or sensitivity usually settles within a day or two. For a few days afterward we may recommend avoiding baths, swimming, and intimacy while the area recovers.
Results develop gradually. Many patients begin to notice changes within about four to six weeks, with improvement continuing over the following months. Results can last around one to two years, and occasional maintenance sessions help preserve them.
Is Empower RF Right for You?
During your consultation we confirm whether Empower RF is a good fit. It may be a good option if you:
- Experience urinary leakage or incontinence from childbirth, aging, or hormonal changes
- Are at least six weeks postpartum, with your provider’s clearance
- Are perimenopausal or postmenopausal with dryness, laxity, or discomfort during intimacy
