MicroPeel

What is MicroPeel?

A micropeel is a safe, non-invasive facial treatment that’s used to reveal smoother, more radiant-looking skin. The micropeel is considered to be an entry into the world of chemical peels, as it’s the least strong of them all. A micropeel uses a stronger form of glycolic acid to effectively remove the top layer of facial skin. After the peel is removed, clients can expect to see glowing skin with minimized wrinkles, fine lines, and hyperpigmentation.

Treatment & Results

The power of the micropeel comes from glycolic acid, which is used to slough away the top layer of the facial skin to reveal younger, smoother-looking skin underneath. Glycolic acid is available in a lot of over-the-counter products, but a micropeel is different because the strength of the glycolic acid ranges from 20% to 30%. This is just enough strength to effectively remove dead and dull skin cells without causing the redness and peeling that often comes with chemical peels. A micropeel procedure usually takes about an hour to administer; it must be performed on clean skin. After the glycolic acid compound is removed, your Derma Tech specialist will use moisturizer and sunscreen to protect the skin.

Post Care

Recovery time can vary from patient to patient. After your micro-peel treatment, moisturizers and sunscreen will be applied to your skin. Your skin might feel like you have a slight sunburn, and some (but not all) patients may see their skin turn pink for a few days.
