Xeomin is a cosmetic injectable form of botulinum toxin type A that temporarily relaxes facial muscles to decrease the appearance of lines and wrinkles caused by movements like raising the eyebrows, frowning, or smiling. The US Food and Drug Administration has approved Xeomin for treating moderate to severe frown lines (glabellar lines). It’s used off-label to treat everything from gummy smiles to square jaws. Xeomin is pure, meaning the injections do not contain additives, only botulinum toxin type A. The results of Xeomin are visible within one week, and the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles lasts three to six months, making it comparable to Botox® in terms of impact and duration.
